Hi, I’m Lisa.
I am a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist (BCHN), Registered Health Coach (RHNC), herbalist, intuitive eating coach, and trauma-informed wellness guide.
I have been a nutrition clinician, somatic practitioner, and educator for fifteen years.
I am trained in the wisdom traditions of my ancestral European Herbalism as well as Ayurveda, Mindful / Intuitive Eating, Somatic Integrations, and Chinese Five Element Theory to offer a comprehensive, universal view of health. I relate to the world in a non-binary/fluid way, prefer she/they pronouns, and welcome clients who are trans, queer, and/or people of global majority (BIPOC / PoGM).
My book, The Culinary Pharmacy, has gained critical acclaim.
My method is somatic and focuses on body semiotics, the language of symptoms, which we decode together to forge a path towards deeper connection with self and nature.
I am a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) and the Health Coach Alliance (HCA).
I am an ally and organizer for the International Food Sovereignty Alliance. I collaborate with a consensus-based group to organize and host our regional assemblies.
I am certified in Sustainable Food Systems through the University of Vermont and engage in continuing education on Mindful Eating, Mind-Body Healing and Culinary Medicine.
I work with those who need support in healing from chronic conditions and want to understand their bodies’ messages through somatic nutrition.
I support clients through the conception, pregnancy, and post-partum time to gain the tools they need to thrive.
I help busy families and those who want to learn more about whole, local, seasonal eating as delicious, delightful preventative care.
I strive to help us all unravel the patterns that keep us from becoming our most embodied selves. My vision is that you will leave our work together with a deeper understanding of yourself so that I can become obsolete.
Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® is a credential which demonstrates that I have achieved the highest level of professional recognition in the nutrition field. Maintaining my board certification requires me to take part in continuing education annually, which allows me to support clients with the best, most current research and training in advanced nutrition science.
Registered Health and Nutrition Coach® certification allows me to work with an international community of coaches to create a movement towards improved happiness, health, and overall wellness for people across the world. I maintain a membership that requires me to engage in continuing education focused on the coaching tools that have been proven most effective for client and student success.
